Claude giveth and Claude taketh away

Anthropic and OpenAI are worth trillions of dollars. We’ve got $2,500 in checking.

Building SaaS in 2026: get an idea, spend weeks/months on it, realize a big AI lab beat you to it, repeat. We’ve been stuck in this loop since we launched last April. Strata Docs? Claude Artifacts. Strata Spaces? ChatGPT Space.

Well, we’ve done it again. May we present: Strata Presentations. Write a pitch or slide deck in Markdown, with interactive ```html blocks driving the visuals. Your audience can load the deck, run your animated data viz themselves, change the numbers driving your analysis and get updated results on the fly. Whatever crazy thing Claude can code can go in your deck.

This is nothing like Claude Slides, which turns prompts into slide decks. Using HTML. Or OpenAI’s version coming soon, whatever that turns out to be.

Why is it different? Well for one, you don’t have to stay locked into one lab’s tools. You can have Codex and Claude work together on the same deck, and you can edit its source yourself, which Claude Slides doesn’t let you do.

Why else is it different? You ask too many questions, kind reader.

One small irony: my Claude may have been, erm, “inspired” by Slides’ pre-canned layouts. It was a nice touch. The plagiarism knife cuts both ways, even if one side is a katana and the other a Cutco.
