Propose and review suggested edits
Use a suggestion when you want someone to review replacement text before it becomes part of the document. Strata keeps the proposal available for review, with Accept and Reject controls.
Suggest a replacement
- Select the text you want to change in the document.
- Choose Suggest Edit from the selection controls.
- Enter the replacement text. Add a rationale if the reviewer needs to know why you are proposing the change.
- Choose Submit. The proposal appears in Suggestions.
Review a suggestion
Open Suggestions to inspect the original and proposed text. Choose Accept to apply the replacement or Reject to discard the proposal. For grouped agent changes, use Review changes when available to inspect the diff before accepting the group.
Accept all and Reject all act on the document’s pending suggestions. Use the individual or group controls when you want to decide separately. You need permission to edit the document to accept or reject changes.
When the document changes during review
A suggestion can become stale if someone edits its original text. Check the current passage before deciding whether the proposed replacement still fits. Strata also warns when resolving a suggestion affects overlapping proposals; read that warning before proceeding.
Choose between a comment and a suggestion
Use a comment for a question such as “Can we support this number?” Use a suggestion when you already have replacement wording. If you ask an agent to review a document, tell it to create suggestions rather than edit the text directly.
