Update or unpublish a public document
Editing a published document changes the draft first. Readers keep seeing the previous edition until you choose Publish updates.
Publish a revision
- Make the changes in the document and review the draft.
- Open Publish. The panel shows when changes have been made since the last publish.
- Choose Publish updates to replace the public edition.
- Open the public URL and check that it shows the intended revision.
What stays with the published edition
Publishing captures the document’s design and its included data as well as the text. Later draft edits or profile theme changes do not silently restyle an existing edition. If you have corrected a figure in a bound data block, publish again before expecting readers to see the correction.
Remove one document from your public profile
In Publish, choose Unpublish this document and confirm. The public post becomes unavailable, but the working document remains. Existing share links and document access are unaffected; change those separately if you also want to remove collaboration access.
Hide the whole profile
Hiding your profile unpublishes every document you have published and hides the profile page. The documents remain as drafts. Making the profile public again does not substitute for reviewing and republishing the documents you want to share.
